David De Schutter is the Global Vice President, Innovation & Technical Development of AB InBev, the Home of Stella Artois.
AB InBev is very proud of its diverse team of more than 120 scientists and engineers from more than 20 different nationalities! They are working together to shape the future of AB InBev. In collaboration with their network of partners, they work to develop new beverages, packages & draft solutions. All that while they want to improve brewing and packaging processes to create a more sustainable production process, higher quality, and products that consumers like most.
The future of AB InBev will for sure contain a lot of cheers, but what it definitely also contains is non-animal proteins! David is also part of ABInbev’s GITEC team (Global Innovation & Technology Center), the worldwide innovation center of AB InBev. With their project Biobrew they focus on creating non-animal proteins for the food industry. With this process, they will create a more sustainable way of farming by being able to feed more people per acre of farmland!
What can you expect from David on the FE Expert Stage?
On the second day of FE, David will tell us about Precision Fermentation at the Expert Stage. He will share the know-how of AB InBev’s innovation team and how they reinvented a chemical process.
