David Pas currently holds the position of Coordinator DesignLab and InnoLab within the Strategic Innovation department at Verhaert.

After his Product Designer studies, David started working at Verhaert. Together with his former professor and company founder, Paul Verhaert, he helped to document the ‘product development process and methodology’, which has since been taught at the University of Antwerp’s Product Development Department.

In between he supported (as a freelance strategic consultant) Mortierbrigade, a communication agency in Brussels. David was also asked as Design Coach for IDE Limburg, and for the 5×5 initiative of Designregio Kortrijk, as well as for ‘my precious’ design project in Limburg.

David is an occasional guest lecturer in Innovation Management at the Department of Applied Economics at the University of Antwerp and is regularly invited as a guest speaker on Design and Innovation.
Every year he awards the Paul Verhaert Award to the product development student who has best applied the method of integral product development.
